In response to Tootsie's post above: Unless there is another that I'm not aware of, the only charging handles I've seen from Noveske are the plain GI type and rebranded Gunfighter mod 4's. I've got both a Noveske Gunfighter and a BCM that I was given at a class a few weeks ago sitting in front of me and other than the logos and such, they appear identical.

I like em and use em. But I improve em once I get em. Got 8 of em sitting right now waiting to be fixed. Just gotta find the time.

Just to reiterate what others have said already, they feel much more secure and make charging with the support hand an easier operation. I was skeptical at first, but after dropping the part in it was immediately apparent that it was an improvement-- not one of those subtle improvements where you go back and forth a few times trying to convince yourself it was worth it, but immediately noticeable. Probably one of the easiest/ cheapest upgrades you can make to a standard AR-style rifle that will make manipulation a whole lot easier.

    Mine has the small latch.

    How do you improve them?

I also had issue on my last carbine with a "tactical CH" open square that you could hook a sling too.

Would be very uncomfy when walking the land always poking me.

I got the mod 5 it's pefrect, big enough latch to grab.

It is a pretty solid piece, my last one was starting to wiggle, so that pin was getting worn out.

These things seem to have obsoleted the LMT tactical charging handle. I liked that one and still run one on my house gun.

I run an LMT tactical charging handle on my carbine as well. I wouldn't mind trying a BCM gunfighter but don't see the benefit for me and my shooting.

Of course maybe on my next AR I will give the BCM a try. I believe if you could take the LMT latch and throw it on the BCM that it would be perfect, or not!

Have them on all of my ARs. They feel extremely solid and do not roll or bend. They provide a positive grip as well.
