Which trigger upgrade, Timney, Geissle, etc

I'm thinking of upgrading my trigger on my AR-15 to the Geissele sp?, Timney etc, I would like input from the ones who have done this to there weapon, I shoot all several different brands of ammo,
and would like one to handle all types of 5.56 ammo, all help would
be great and some pros and cons as well, thanks

Timneys are great triggers, although I would not put one in a rifle I am going to use as a fighting gun. If you want a nice trigger for a fighting carbine, go with Geissele. I personally went with the SD-3G trigger in my SBR and love it to death. I have a little bit of trigger time with the S3G, SD3G, SD-C, and SSA-E. All are fantastic triggers. They are a little spendy, but well worth the money.

Having said that you should go with a Geissele, what model is up to you. Each one is a little different. The SD3G is part of their Dynamic line with a flat trigger. It's a 3.5# two-stage that feels like a single stage. There are heavier triggers, I believe they also have a couple that are adjustable. However, I wouldn't go with an adjustable trigger in a fighting gun.

If you do decide to go with a Geissele, Battle Arms is selling them packaged together with a BAD-ASS selector if you don't already have one. Everyone that has used one loves it, but it's something you have to decide for yourself if you want. You honestly can't go wrong with getting one if you have the money to spend. If you don't want it as an ambidextrous selector, they have end caps, but it will operate far better than a cast selector. Another piece of kit that I would recommend is the Norgon ambi mag catch. Battle Arms just recently started selling these as well. Again, it depends on what you want to do with your rifle. It's another part that's a bit spendy, but it's the nicest ambidextrous mag catch on the market, over the Troy or KAC designs.

What it comes down to is what you want to do with your rifle and what functionality you want.

EDIT: As long as you go with a quality trigger/hammer group, it's going to be fine with all types of ammunition you can throw at your rifle. Especially with a Geissele or Timney, you're going to be fine.

I'm actually kinda interested to hear some feedback on the chip McCormick flat trigger if anyone has some experience with it.

I have used the Geissele in 3 different rifles & for the price & quality,,I don't think ya can do better. They have a great feel & are pretty much bullet proof !!! I know there are some guys on here that have put Thousands +++++ of rds on them and they are as good today as when they first installed it. I know there are a lot of good triggers out there,,but the Geissele are the ones that I have the most range time with !!

Geissele is the only aftermarket trigger I recommend. I prefer the DMR or SDE but they have such a variety to fit every preference your bound to find something you like.

I love the Geissele SSA. No experience with Timney.
