What about the gold trigger Jerry Miculek promotes? I've heard great things about it but haven't ever tried one but I want to.

Can't beat Geissele triggers....The man is an engineering genius...
I have the SSA, The S3G and am going to try an adjustable DMR one next.......All great triggers....nothing else compares in performance, function, reliablity and quality..............

Geissele is awesome. Been using them since they came out, never a problem.

AzDoug, use the factory trigger when it seems alot of folks are using aftermarket triggers and they like the aftermarket ones, makes me wonder why even spend the money on a aftermarket one
and there is a lot of aftermarket ones out there!!!, thanks and more confused than before

I got a Timney as my first aftermarket trigger - closest to a bolt gun I've felt, and it's a great varminting trigger. The GSSA blows it away - I shoot just as well despite the higher pull weight, and the price/durability has led me to buy another 4 SSA's.

Your hammer is heavier than the JP hammer. Also, JP recommends the red, not yellow hammer spring for self defense or tactical use, particularly with mil spec primers.
Would think you are taking a chance on reliable ignition, but I may be wrong...
Nothing wrong with JP stuff. I use their complete FCG, with red hammer spring. No issues after thousands of rounds.

I use the yellow JP springs, with LIGHT polishing on the trigger sear, and standard hammer, and have never had a failure to fire. I run different types of ammo from M855, bulk value, and a lot of reloads (CCI primers). I shoot around 800 to 1000 rounds a month. Not saying it can't happen though! I'm planning to use the JP adjustable trigger, and speed hammer in the future.

I have personal experience with Colt, LMT and Dniel Defense mil-spec triggers as well as Timney and a Geissele SSA. Out of the mil-spec lot I prefer the Daniel Defense. It just feels a little smoother to me, although this could just be in my head. I've put about 1,000 rounds through a Timney which was great but ended up failing. I have many thousands of rounds through my Geissele SSA and it's been great. It has very definable stages, but you can easily push through both stages when firing quickly. For me it's gonna be mil-spec or Geissele. I've seen and had others fail.

I run Geissele's in all my personal rifles, they are the best triggers on earth.

Geissele SSA here as well. On the pricey side, but worth it over a standard GI style trigger.

I like the feel of the Geissele G2S in my lower from G&R, though I haven't done any serious drills with it yet.

I would be curious to hear how those who have the G2S model and an SSA model would compare the two.
