Please do. I no longer have the SR-16 but I was told by someone at KAC who would know that the SR-16 and SR-15 11.5" barrels have the same size gas ports but that doesn't square that with my experience. The SR-16 was just much smoother and I was generally just using a regular H2 compared to an A5H4. There were a few other differences but nothing that would such a significant effect on the operation.

Anyone have trouble with a Springco green spring?

My Mod1 with the A5, standard buffer, and Green Spring does not lock back with CBC 5.56.

Since people have been using A5 successfully with Mod1's I was wondering if it may be the spring.
It is from the construction of underground FEMA camps. I can't say more because there a guy parked in front of house in an AMC Pacer. He is acting like he talking on the phone, but I know better.

I have to sign off now & put my laptop in the microwave.

Green is too strong. Use a regular Vltor spring.

One thing to remember about some of the Russian ammo: the burn reaches peak pressure later (see Andrew's testing) so function will be better in longer gas systems.

True. I have also known some guys to run an A5H1 as well, for some margin.

Yeah, makes sense. A Colt ar15A4 will chew through tula, but that's the nature of the rifle buffer and gas system.

I put the standard rifle spring in the A5, and the gun shoots great now. I shot 100 rounds of PMC Bronze .223 flawlessly, and of course the CBC 5.56 was fine.

Outstanding to hear it. I bet she's a smooth shooter now.
