    Lol @ multiple pics of the bolt carrier itself. Besides the gas key, I thought those things never really wear out?

    Sorry for the multiple pics then QS. Since there are four large bearing surfaces on the carrier, and being new to AR's, I wanted to show the four surfaces in order to show the wear I am seeing.

    Don't worry, I am satisfied with the responses indicating all is well for now so I will not be posting anymore pics of the carrier

    no kidding. I love lmt parts but they always seem "well tested" in comparison to some of the other companies. My lmt bcg looks more worn with only half the rounds, ill have to try the mobil synthetic oil and see how that does.

    I think it's the grease that prevents the wear from happening.

    I use Castrol Syntec 10W30, I ordered some Slip EWL yesterday, we'll see if it does a better job.

    Either way I'm not worried about the phosphate finish wearing off, it's not particularly tough stuff.
