10mm: 180gn GDHP, Longshot, Chrono results

So I was at the range the other day and in spite of a bad cable on my chrono I was able to clock a hand-full of shots. This was the first time I've ever actually chrono'd my reloads.

    9.0gn gave ~1240fps
    9.5gn gave ~1270fps

Not much difference in speed. Pretty substantial difference in recoil. 9.0 felt a lot like shooting my G23. 9.5 felt like it was running the gun pretty hard.

My conclusion is that I'd be better off loading up the home defense ammo at 9.0gn for an easier shooting pistol that I can bring back on target faster. Pretty sure a bad guy won't know any difference between 1240fps & 1270fps.

are you still running the factory spring on your G20? Glock springs 'em pretty light from the factory, more .40 S&W +P then true 10mm. I would look into higher rate springs before doing anymore max power 10mm fun in the G20.
