So if one was to build a MK18 Mod 1 clone with a cut down Colt 6920 barrel and would like to instal this gas block,
1) would this it fit under a RIS II rail?
2) what would be a good starting gas port size to allow adjustment for both suppressed and non suppressed shooting as well as using full power 5.56 and underpowered Russian stuff?

I'm fairly sure the Syrac set screw blocks will fit under the RISII. I'd start at 10 clicks from closed, unsuppressed with the weak ammo, and see what it does.
Doh! I didn't read it right. What size is the gas port now? I'd be hesitant to open it up until I tried it, unless it's really small. If you open it up, maybe 0.070" at the most. My 10.5" barrel has a 0.078" port and I'd prefer it to be smaller. Some of these other guys may have a better idea on that though.
Yes, the gas block fits just fine under the RISII. I basically have a Mk18 Mod 1 clone. The Syrac is the same size as any other micro-sized gas block I've seen.
Here's my GenII Syrac installed under the rail:
I'm running the over-gassed (.083" gas port, I believe) DD 10.3" which is actually nice now that I have the Syrac. It gives me a wide range that I can get any ammo to function reliably. It ran Tula without issues when I was testing while still being able to adjust to run NATO spec ammo without being over-gassed. This thing runs amazing and smooth.

Thanks guys. That is what I'm wondering. The barrel gas port is probably .062 since its a Colt. Its definitely going to be too small for unsuppressed shooting cut down to 10.3".
Thanks for the pics BTW. That looks perfect.

What is the difference between the Gen 1 vs. gen 2? It seems Syrac only makes a gen 1 for .625 blocks...
