    Hi, new here from TX

    Hello,

Last weekend shot my friend's DDMK18 at range. Two days later ordered my own (first firearm) DDM4v4!

Rifle is slated to get here next Wednesday. But I already made following purchases.

    • Federal XM855 5.56 1000rnd box
    • KAC micro front and rear BUIS
    • Magpul MS3 QD sling
    • Couple cheap goggles (offset shipping cost)
    • Knee pads (offset shipping cost)

    Pretty freakin' excited!

Just a short intro about myself. I'm not new to firearms. I was stationed at 82nd for four years and handled M4A1. Handled SAW in couple training sessions as well. Got out in 2004. Have not handled any weapon until last weekend. Basically got hooked after shot my buddy's Mark 18.

I'm glad to be joining M4Carbine.net!

Good to have you. I live about 100 miles straight north up I-35.

Don't forget to check into getting a Texas concealed handgun license. See the Texas gov't website.

I have good contacts in the gun world. Pm me when you might come this way. This invite extends to all.

Welcome from Austin. Kneepads? Sounds like you might be into action shooting. If so, or if you are just curious, check out the action shooting matches at Austin Rifle Club: http://austinrifleclub.org/calender/

Welcome aboard. Nice to see you are starting with a good one. Mine was a DDM4v7. Be forewarned about stripped lowers. They can only lead to building a safe full of custom guns.

    Hiya !!!

Welcome to the boards. There is a wealth of knowledge on here, so before you post read all the stickies and use the search button. Some members get cranky for asking something that has already been covered to death. Once you decide on your next piece of gear to buy, ask away.

first thing to buy is more ammo

    second is even more ammo.

    third thing is more mags

fourth thing is even more ammo

    Look at your local Walmart.

Some have 5.56 62 Grain Lake City for as low as $420.00 for a thousands rounds.

While not the best deal around, it aint Rusky steel cased ammo....
