    A new toy

So a few years ago i bought a 98 dodge ram 1500 sport. The previous owner had put on custom shocks and raised it a little and had bigger shocks on it. I Loved the truck but damn i didn't think the gas mileage would suffer so much(im not a car or truck guy, bikes and AR's are my thing, i had to leave my bike at home when i moved) So i used it to move and it just sat in my parking spot. I put it up on craigslist and got a hit from a guy who wanted to trade. Long story short he came over, brought the bike and we decided to do the trade. Turned out the guy (a year younger then me) also served in the marines. He got to boot a month after i graduated. The same battalion and same damn barracks, a AR guy, nice guy over all (granted i was a little weary about every thing thats happened over craigslist so needless to say i had something hidden just in case). Where i moved temps in winter are not that bad and add some rain gear and im set. He also offered to pay for the fees for transfer and other fees (due to im very tight on money but who isnt these days). Threw in a very nice helmet also. So the bike is a Suzuki SV650S, love the bike handles great good power but nothing extreme. He had a service plan on the bike so all i will have to do is take it to the dealer ship, 5500 mile on it not one damn scratch on it. Heres a few pics for you motorcycle lovers out there. Any one have any one of these?

The SV is a sleeper. The V-twin engine makes it a very nice, smooth, practical street bike.

It's a dramatic difference between it and your average high revving crotch rocket.

yeah ive noticed that. This is my first sports bike the one i have back home was a cruiser type so i was a little cautious with the acceleration. I was used to other sports bikes ive ridden before, you barley touch the gas and your almost doing a back flip but i was very surprised and very happy with it. It hauls ass but nothing that a normal person transitioning from a cruiser to a sports bike cant handle (in my mind any way and thats not saying much lol)

Cool bike and great trade. If you could, maybe throw in some commas next time. That was painful to read. No offense to you, of course.

Excellent choice bud! Fellow bike nut speaking and there's no motorcycle I love more than a v-twin sportbike. I've been pondering saving up for an older TL1000S or Superhawk if I can ever stop buying ammo. ; )
