Stock options for LH Savage rifle.

A friend of mine has a left handed Savage Model 10 and is hard pressed for stock options. He's not sure what type of stock he's after, just looking for options. He mostly wants something with an adjustable cheek rest. Anyone know of a source for left handed Savage rifle stocks? Perhaps a custom outfit?

Stockade Stocks and Manners. I currently have a Stockade on my 110L and will put a Manners on the 10L (if i don't do a Remington) I'm going to build someday.

You can try the guys at McMillan as well. I have two of their stocks in addition to a couple of the Stockade stocks. The quality of the McMillan stocks is really the gold standard in synthetic stocks. The stockades are nice but you have to acknowledge what you are paying and what you are getting versus the McMillan or the Manners.

I looked on the specials page on the site and they actually have an A-4 listed on the site.
    Specs are as follows:
#2729 A4 PAINTED BLACK, LH SAVAGE SHORT ACTION, STAGGERFEED MODEL, BLIND MAG, FAC SAV T/G, FAC VAR B/C, SPACER SYSTEM, SADDLE C/P, FRONT STUD. $550.00 7/8/11

The date at the end is when it was listed on the site so that one has been there for a bit. I bought one of the Edge stocks for my antelope rig for about half of the regular price. The specials page is a great place to find a great stock for less. Additionally, don’t forget the for sale section over at Sniper’s Hide.

All that being said, he could do some upgrading of the current stock to include a Karsten adjustable cheekpiece on his own and save $$ while still having a good stock that will meet his needs.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. We're not sure on the magazine system his gun has. After selecting Savage short action, the Manners website lists blind box ADL, center feed detach, and CDI detach systems as possible options. Is there a way to tell which magazine system his rifle has? Specifically, the Model 10 FLCPK.

    This one: Model 10 FLCPK

If he has the Accu-Stock now, then I would think he is better off spending a little more time with the rifle. Unless he is using one of those monster objectives I would think he's fine.

He should have the center feed detach. If he is going to go with the Manners route, then I would go to the CDI bottom metal as an upgrade with the stock. I just had one installed in my Stokade for my .300. This would allow him to interchange AI mags on the range as required.
