I've had good luck with Shilen blank and WOA doing the cutting.

not as accurate as some of the high-end match grade barrels, but trident posted (i think) an email, or maybe some info he got from lmts website... the nitrided (nonstainless) steel barrels that go with the mrp series are tested to be sub moa.

I've done a fair amount of testing AR barrels for accuracy. Just over a year ago, I received 40 new DD 10.3 SBR's and 40 new BCM 16 inchers. Used a Leupy in a LaRue mount to do some random accuracy testing with my 2IC. We used LC M193 and LC M855 for the most part. These M4's came factory-direct in one shipment each. Testing done at 100 yards from a sandbag rest on the bench.

Wow. Everything from true one-holers to 2.5 inches. The very best was a BCM that shot a 3 shot cloverleaf with M855.

My conclusion is barrels are very individual. Buy one, test it, keep it or try another.

Hint: try some 69 grainers when you test. I've found them to shoot better at 100 yards than 77's.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

This only helps if the OP is running a MRP. They are not interchangeable with traditional AR's. They are very accurate barrels for a standard chrome lined offering, but I don't consider them in the same league as Noveske or Centurion which would be my first choice. They are generally MOA or slightly better barrels compared to half MOA +/- with Noveske or Centurion offerings.
