Having a diopter correction on a magnifier is a welcomed addition IMO.

    That and no ARMS mount....
Yes. Even with a magnifier it still subtends 4 MOA. It's just that the magnification turns it into a 4 MOA comma-shaped blob. It works OK on my Aimpoint PRO, and with my Eotechs.

The ARMS mount on my FTS has held up just fine. I have no complaints.

For magnifier use, I liked the Eotech better. For me, the reticle looked much better when magnified.

The coma effect is more than likely a result of your vision. You can easily test this by taking a picture of the reticle. Cameras don't have astigmatism.

No. I don't have any astigmatism. It's an actual comma-shaped blob.

I was told the new EOTech magnifier mount is not spring loaded, any confirmation of that?

So, what's the difference between a $150 3x magnifier and a $600 one? Are they three times as good or what?
I mean 3x is good for long range, but with a removable or flip to the side mount for the mag, reliability is not a killer factor, just an inconvenience.

With all things there comes a point of dimishing returns. Meaning a $600 scope will not be 3 times as good as a 200 one but it will be better. Rather its worth it or not is up to the end user and their application.

Still trying to figure out where you saw the $150 price tag?

    Not an EOTech.
