I wouldn't buy one for a fun AR myself...but that is mainly because I only have so much money in my optics budget.
If I had the cash lying around and wanted an Eotech for a competition gun or similar, I could see buying one of these...it's kind of entertaining.
In general, yes, I think the zombie theme was played out a year ago. But I think the biohazard reticle is actually fairly creative.
Of course I tend not to take things all that seriously to begin with.
Full disclosure: I'm the editor of Calibre Magazine, which is Canada's gun magazine. In the past I've done consulting work for different manufacturers and OEM suppliers, but not currently. It's stupid, but it is all about selling more, and I guess they think they can sell more with gimmicks.Interesting that they spent their time making a Zombie reticle rather than coming up with something practical like a dual traverse battery system or making the Eotech more efficient.
