    Question

A couple of years ago I contacted Eotech about the possibility of replacing their problematic pushbutton electronic switch with a rotary mechanical switch and was informed it would "be out in 2011."
This is what I get for my patience???

I doubt Eotech diverted any resources for the Zombie optic. Changing a laser display pattern is no big deal. Otherwise it's just graphics on an existing chassis.

Meh, there's a market for it. If they can sell $400 EoTechs with minor tweaks to horror movie fans, can't blame them for it. Same with the Hornady ammo. I bought a few boxes as joke gifts at christmas, which I believe is what the majority of sales are, anyhow.

And to think I was under the impression that firearms were still a serious business... I'm all about the humor, but not when it comes to this. These kinds of accessories belong on airsoft toys.

First, there is not a damn thing wrong with zombies.

Second, i do think its shameless to slap a zombie on a serious weapon site just to boost sales. I love my EOtech but i do not like this.

its all about making money, eotech is a business and im sure doing this will make them even more money, it would be unwise of a business to say im not doing that and lose profit just because its a gun product

    It's on their website now:

    http://www.eotech-inc.com/products/sights/xps2Zombie

And just soak up this product description:

Save Your Brain with the New EOTech Zombie Stopper! In these troubled times it's go to know you can count on EOTech to bring you the ultimate in Zombie Stopping Holographic Technology. Use the awesome new biohazard reticle to sight them in and kill them dead (again). When threatened by a pack of these brain eating beasts, fast target acquisition is a must and no one is faster than EOTech.
And oh yes, "it's go to know" is written just like that on the website... I guess proofreading isn't in their budget either. Or maybe the target customers won't know the difference.

The Shot Show this year was Zombieville. I'm taking it all as just hilarious fun.

One of my friends is that uptight, angry white whatever, and tends to rain on people's parades. Kind of like going to Disneyland, ending up accidentally in Fantasyland, and your friend immediately complaining when he sees Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. One of my favorites by the way.

Would I personally buy any of the stuff? No, but I'm just enjoying experiencing the ride. I think too many folks are too anal to see through the fog, and have some fun.

P.S. - When the Zombies materialize, they will take out Kalifornia first.

No wonder you're pissed. They obviously shelved your suggestion and spent those couple of years focusing the entire company's R&D on the zombie-scope. What a betrayal.

It appears to be quite the theme. I note that Hogue has joined the party.

I understand they're coming out with an entire line of Zombie accessories called Zombie-X.

And, now you can get your rifle Duracoated too:

And let's not forget the DoubleStar chainsaw attachment.
