    Recommendations for shooting sticks

Almost everything I've read about hunting in Africa suggests getting and using shooting sticks. But a quick google search yields a bewildering array of makes, models and styles. Does anyone here have experience using shooting sticks (specifically in Africa) and any resulting opinions on them?
Cyril: Oh now that's a breach of trust!

Lana: Do you really want to open this can of trust-breachy worms after I just found you and my ex-boyfriend with a dead hooker in the trunk?

    Cyril: ...I do not.

Likely won't make it to the Dark Continent but I have been quite pleased with the Bog Pod. Being a tripod it is stable while shooting and provides a convenient rest for the rifle while waiting for game.

I used Varmint Al's recipe. It's nice and simple and cost 2 bucks.

Works great for cruising the fields for hunting bunnies, yotes, and prairie dogs.

At the very least, you can make a pod, drag it around for a little while and find what options suit you the best.
