All we did here is lay our mil dot reticles over the two verticle targets. Then fired a round at zero, dialed up 1 mil on the elevation turret and fired another holding the reticle in the SAME spot... and so on.. coming up whole mils until we hit 4 mils. Stopped there since we ran out of target AND mil dot reticles have 4 dots in any direction.Originally Posted by RD62

Nice to see you guys doing this, as I consider it mandatory for any LR optic. I always perform a tracking and repeatability test using a box test that covers as much to the rifle's maximum effective range as possible....if your box testing an optic for a .308, then you should use b/t 10-12 mils.
I also do a 100yd optical resolution test....
Lastly I do a simple return to zero test @ 100yds.
