Dang - these NSR rails are pieces of art. Thanks Grant and Noveske! I'll be ordering 2 more shortly - need a 9 and a 7.

Dam, that anodizing is hotness.
All - I've got to quote myself here. Got my NSR rail in a few days ago - this Sunex Crowfoot is TOO WIDE to fit the NSR barrel nut center flats - it's a no-go. 1 1/16" is right but it needs to be narrower. Hopefully I can save some folks some hassle here. Problem is tryingto find single crowfeet is a PITA. They all come in collections, of which I really have no need for. I'll update if I find something that works without requiring a set to be purchased.

Thanks, yeah - just went ahead and ordered it from Snap On as well. Ugh. Add it to the Snap-On pile.
Only problem is I also "found" about $200 of other Snap-On stuff I ordered with it!
I'm a sucker for Snap-On. The actual foot width is 3/8" on the Snap-On, which is perfect.

Quick question for someone who has installed one of these.
It appears that the barrel nut has to be timed perfectly to have the handguards level. But there seems to only be 4 holes per 90 degrees of rotation (lots of rotation between holes), which means if you are under torque and lined up, you may be over torque when lined up at the next hole. How is this installed without sometimes being over or under torque? I'm sure there is something I don't get.
Thanks

While I have yet to install mine (waiting on the wrench) I see what you're saying. We'll see how it goes. I believe Noveske uses Loctite on their factory uppers in addition to an anti-rotation pin with very tight tolerances. So, they may get away with less torque. I doubt I'll pin mine and I'm definitely not using loctite, so I might be in for a chore. I've got a 9 coming in the mail in addition to the 11 I have. My guess is, I'll get lucky with one and have a complete bear of a time with the other.
The barrel nut is threaded on both ends, but offset so the second side will time differently.
