Mine is too bright, I finally figured out today. If I tape over about 3/4 of it in full sun it's much easier to shoot. Doesn't someone make an accessory for that?

On an unrelated note- are there flip-up caps available for the TA11?

Yes and yes.
I have found that the best ACOG cover is a cut to size bicycle inner tube though. Cheap, effective, able to make several from one tube, and no great loss if it takes you a try or two to get it right.

I have the green TR-24 and like it much better than the red.Seems my old eyes pickup the green better than red and have not seen any washout with my scope.
