I was just wondering on a update on the akars system. How has this been holding up for some that has them for a while. Any issues with the durability or not staying on zero?
I know these were some of the complaints about this system. I just got my ak built and i'm looking to buy one possibly.

Is there any issues co witnessing the akars rear sight? I've read that the akars rear sight aperture is higher than a standard ak sight.

I have about 2000 rounds through mine on a 5.56 arsenal. No problem with zero of the H1 sitting on top of it. The rail is now on a 7.62x39 ak. The backup sight sucked on the 5.56 because it is setup for a 100 meter zero on a 7.62x39. On the 5.56 AK that required the front sight blade to be level with the sight post ears. No such problem with 7.62x39.

Overall, I like it and am not looking to replace it. I might get another one and try to shave it down for 5.56.

Sorry, forgot. I am able to co witness the H1 for a lower 1/4th-1/5th. Not fantastic but ok.
