    Eotech 552 Problem-Reticle Fade?

I have an Eotech 552 and the reticle gets significantly lighter when it is on the left side of window and almost completely disappears in lower left window and does the opposite on the right side as it actually get brighter.

I had several people check and all experience it so it is not just my eyes.

    Any info would be appreciated.

I'd contact Eotech, see what they say and potentially send it in for a check/service. Their customer service is great.

That is gonna happen... I was just wondering if this was a known problem and wanted to be educated on it before speaking to Eoatech. Thanks

Happened to mine. Sent it to EOTech and they said the nitrogen had leaked out of the optic. They fixed the seal and refilled the nitrogen, then got it back to me in a week.

I've heard one or two other people say this as well. OP, send it off, apparently their CS is awesome.

Appreciate it guys. I just wanted an explanation from the Baptized before speaking to a CS rep.

Anyone know the physics on why the lack of nitrogen gas would have that optical effect?

    Thanks Again!
