    Aimpoint 9000SC 2x 1MOA?

Has anyone tried out one of these on their AR? I can get one pretty cheap and am considering mounting it on my DPMS AP4 308 but want to 1/3 co-witness my BUIS. Thanks

I don't think the concept of cowitnessing applies with magnified optics. It really only works with 1X Aimpoints, EoTechs and optics such as those.

Gottcha but I want to be able to see my irons if for some reason the scope goes down.

Mount a magnified optic on quick detach base.

Or go with Aimpoint/EoTech + flip to side mount/magnifier combo. Add a folding BUIS.

Admire the $1,000 you have sitting on top of your carbine.

    Question

I have the EOtech 552s on both my M4s and like them. I wanted to mount this scope on the AP4 308 because it has 2x and a 1 moa so it should good for quick snap shots and longer aimed shots. I'm thinking for hunting deer and hog this would be a great set up for a brush gun.

    cgdonley,
This set up will work well for your intended weapon and purpose. Set it up in an LT 104 or LT 135. Enjoy!

Anyone using the 9000SC, and if so what mount/rings have you found work well?

    cgdonley,
My bad regarding previous post. I think I must have miss read or read in haste your initial post. However, while at SHOT I'll try to put a 9000SC 2X in a LT135 or LT139 on an M4 and get back with you. Apologize if my previous email may have caused you any issues.

Checked this out today. The LT135 (1.93") mount is the mount that will work with the 9000SC 2X. If ADM makes an equivalent than that may be a viable option as well. The further forward on the rail it is mounted the more you will observe the interior of the tube which might be distracting.
