Lookiing for G2 light mount (non-rail)

Can anyone recommend a non-rail light mount. the only one I've found is made by GG&G. I want one I can put a G2 in.

    Thanks

    Uh... 100mph tape?

J/K, I can't think of any that don't mount to some type of rail. If you aren't interested in railed handguards, you can go with a FSB mount or one of the numerous small rail pieces that can be mounted to standard handguards. A 1" scope ring will then mount the light to the rail or you can go with a dedicated light mount. The scope ring and FSB mount or bolt-on rail will both accomplish the goal of mounting a light to the rifle without spending much $$$, if that's your goal.

Why are you looking for a mount that doesn't utilize a rail?

    Good luck!

    Thanks for the reply,

The reason is I don't have or want a rail. I suppose I could use a ranger band too!

I did come across one made by Wilson's Combat.

Perhaps it would help if you would tell us what you are trying to mount a G2 on.

I think YHM makes something that clamps to the FSB.

    Holsters Plus snap-on unit here:

There's also a company that makes a strap-on unit that holds the light in a cordura loop with slip resistant lining. The name escapes me, sorry.

My shooting buddy installed a GG&G small Picatiny Rail to his fron handguard and it solid as a rock. He just attaches an Insights or Sure Fire X300 to it with the pressure switch tape (Sure Fire Model) It light and you can remove the light for your handgun also. Really nice idea & you save a whole bunch of $$$$

    Paladin,

Does that set up require drilling holes in the HG?
