I see two ways this can go.
The military gets 24,000 shit carbines. Or this forces Cerberus to get their act together and stop putting out a shit consumer product.
It will be cool to see if something special comes of it, if not, great, thumbs up.

Their getting Colt's TDP for the rifle. Kinda hope this boils down to another manufacturer with Mil-Spec civilian carbines, eventually. It really can't hurt.
Remington won't even try reaping sales of the cool version of the ACR, why would they sell us M4's? hm, well, one can hope for both yeah? I'd like to see that.

I have no idea what the net effect will be on the product or end user (probably nothing), but I would love an inside look into the politics behind this...if for no other reason than curiosity.

I'm sure it will be made to standard. It must have something to do with the Army owning the rights to the M4. Maybe now my unit will get m4s.
