You will enjoy them. Take your time on the transition, too many people jump into it, get hurt, and then condemn the shoes. It should take months to get there.

i have a problem finding a decent fit,i have a size 12 slender foot.
my toes are long,i can pick up a baseball with my foot.
most pair i have tried my little toes never makes it to its intended finger.
any suggestions.

I could never get into the five fingers, but I get the merrells for half price so I bought a couple pairs of those and so far I have been very happy. Instead of getting shin pains and the "normal" running injuries my muscles just hurt a bit more the first few times as I was actually using them. So far I am not sure I could go back to running in normal shoes. Plus they look a lot better then the weird toe shoes.

just don't set your heart on the VFFs. a lot of other companies make minimalist/barefoot style shoes with closed toes and varying degrees of padding. my toes are way too long for the vibrams, but I've had good luck with merrell.
