I've been using a Tactical Tailor HEV for the last three years and have absolutely no complaints. Level IIIA soft armor and AMI plates. Numerous days of wearing it for 18+ hours at a time. I chose it because it was available somewhat locally, within a 2 hour drive.

Supreme Protector Ranger. III-A Soft Armor, Issue Level IV ceramic plates. Not the most innovative or glamorous, but it gets the job done.
Iam just a civilian, this is my carbine/ shotgun training rig. Banshee with level 3 plates, no side armor. I can only compair this to the HSGI woosatch which I used for about year. I love this carrier.

What Plate Carrier do you currently use-
PIG PC with Soft armor C-bun + front & rear plates with full soft armor package
How did you chose the make.model-
I've worn most PC's out there. When we began designing the PIG PC I was wearing one of the prototypes. I fell in love with it, and yes I'm probably Biased. But the reviews have been similar to my feelings so i'm not that Biased.
Likes/Dislikes Strengths/Weaknesses-
I love the split front, allows me to keep one side hooked up and slip in and out. Very comfortable, even with all the BS I have to carry. More than ample MOLLE Real Estate.

Questions? m4c@skdtac.com
-What plate carrier do you currently use?
Eagle Plate Carrier w/Cummerbund
-How did you choose this make/model?
I chose it because of the price, reviews and quality. Eagle makes outstanding products. I also looked into the PIG and Crye but this isn't something I use everyday so wanted to keep the cost low.
-Likes/Dislikes? Strengths/weaknesses?
I like that it's comfortable to wear over a period of time. I'm using 10x12 level 4 plates and I have no issues carrying them along with everything else on my carrier. It can be used without the cummerbund too.
You will have to buy after market shoulder pads (HSGI being the most comfortable pads for it). I had the Eagle shoulder pads and they dug into my shoulder. Also, it is not a releaseable carrier.
Tyr Basic Plate Carrier
A couple officers from my department and a neighboring department put together a group buy. The chief approved payroll deduction. I saw some of Tyr's products at a VTAC course, and was impressed, so this was a no-brainer-How did you choose this make/model?
+Got a sweet price on the carrier, IFAK(Tyr, also very nice BTW), and plates-Likes/Dislikes? Strengths/weaknesses?
+Simple, lightweight, less inclination to load it up
+According to my friends who helped organize the buy, Tyr was great to deal with
-A bit more room for adjustment in the side straps would be nice; had to mod them slightly. I'm wearing this over a uniform shirt and armor.
-Shoulder straps are a little narrow (for me)
I don't have one. Sorry.Feel free to include picture at your leisure.
You're welcomeThanks.
Overall, I'm very happy. I plan on using this set up next week at a class. Hopefully I'll bring back a review and some photos.
The advice above is worth exactly what you paid for it.
