I love lever guns! I appreciate the nostalgia of the Winchester 94. Great old gun. Have a pre-64 30-30. But when you hold, cycle and shoot the rifle, then do same with a Marlin 336, in my opinion, there is no comparison. The 336 is definitely my favorite. Enjoy the Sav 99 as well, but 336 is near and dear. Just like the old 30-30 cartridge.

My mind is the weapon, everything else is merely an accessory.

I have been shooting my Marlin 1894 in 38 special quite a bit lately. I took the aimppint T1 off and like the XS Ghost ring better with the Marbles gold bead front.

Also picked up a Winchester 1892 trapper with shotgun style butt stock and 16" barrel. So far, I am in love. Pics soon.

The new to me 1892 45 Colt Trapper is on the left. The Marlin 1894 38/357 is on the right. 1892 has a 16" barrel and the Marlin has a 20" barrel.

The picture doesn't do the wood on either rifle justice.
