    Spuhr G3 upgrades

Anyone ever heard of this outfit before? Looks like some interesting concepts:

Spuhr is famous for making very high quality scope rings; IIRC, they were selected for the FBI HRT T-2 mount contract. Their accessories are also well received for the most part, albeit rather obscure.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

Spuhr is very well known for excellent scope mounts.

The idea behind the G3 upgrades is a very good one. The G3 is actually a good rifle that militaries around the world have tens of thousands held in reserve. Spuhr found the common complaints of poor ergonomics (stock is basically too long, iron sights are good, but the cheek weld is far too low for optics) for modern use in the role required for a larger caliber. The G3 is a good design, sturdy and very cheap (since most militaries bought them in 1960's money), but with Spuhr's updates it brings it back on the table to put it back into service.

here's more about what they have been doing here: http://soldiersystems.net/?s=spuhr.

This is his G3 collapsible stock that is the proper height for optics (pic originally came from here: http://soldiersystems.net/2016/04/13/spuhrs-g3-stock/):

I had no idea Spuhr was Swedish. I thought they were German.
