Mover Targets
I am looking to add a moving target to my shooting range this new year.
I have seen the Bianchi Cup type mover but have not been able to see
behind the berm to determine how it is rigged up.
I understand a washing machine motor w/reverse speeds can be utilized.
Anyone out there w/info on this or a better system, any help would be appreciated.

We have one on one of our Action Pistol bays. I'll try to remember to get some pictures for you tomorrow when I'm at the range.

I 'm wanting to see the mechanics behind the berm, how the mover is powered.
I can weld up a frame from angle iron or tube stock to hold motor and pully's ,
but I would like to see what a functioning unit looks like.

Here are pictures of our mover. It features a constant speed motor that is geared and combined with pulleys to get the desired speed of 10 fps over the 60 feet the target is visible:

Not sure what happened but won't let me upload more than one.

The turnbuckle tightens the wire cable that the hanger rides on.

Here we go, fixed it:

As you can see from the carrier picture it rides on the metal cable.
The nylon kite string is attached to each end of the carrier and goes around the pulleys.
The 'j' hooks on the carrier are for lathe strips to hang from. There is another nylon kite string (visible at the bottom of the next to last picture) that the lathe strips goes between to keep the target from swinging. The target is then attached to the lathe strips with simple black spring clamps which you can get at any office supply store.
Hope this helps.

Yes it does, just have to get my electrician buddy to see this, he is always doing commercial work
where he junks out motors that have plenty of life left, would fir this application.
All I would have to do is rig up a frame on both ends to accommodate the motor and pully's .
Thanks much !
