I'm slightly ashamed to admit this but with the exception of one scoped AR that is zeroed for 77gr IMI "Razor Core" I basically use M193 for everything, both practice and for hypothetical "serious use". Primarily Federal at the moment.

Practice with whatever, at close ranges the impact is within a few inches. I did get a lot of Prvi 69/75 that I shoot as well.

I'd look into the lighter loadings of the TSX round for a short barrel based on what I've read of how they perform from shorter barreled ARs.

I like the proven 64gr Gold Dot for 14.5" or longer. May also be usable for a short barrel, but I don't have data on that.
