I searched back five years and didn't see a thread dedicated to this. They are kind of scattered about.
I'm thinking about the "meat and potatoes" / "80%" drills. Not engaging 5 targets, Not firing 10 rounds per drill, probably not even reloads.
What time should we be going for to draw from hands at sides from concealment to hole in an A zone from 3 yds or 10 or 25, etc.?
2 seconds at 10 yds? 2.5? 3.0? Cold?
I want to find or make a drill for this.
The Church shooting in White Settlement has me thinking about this. Not for the same scenario, mind you, but in any situation when a shot (or 2, or 5) needs to be fired quickly from a pistol that starts concealed on your person.
I want to put this down on paper for myself with the guns I carry so I can reference it and track my progress.
