My armor days are long past so I have no illusions, but I have a ceramic SAPI set (10X12 swimmer cut) in a Shellback carrier, just in case.
What if this whole crusade's a charade?
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
For the blood which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine…

These are the plates that I have been testing:

So far they are legit. The biggest problem people have with steel armor is the weight. Those that have had to wear armor all day/ everyday will also complain about WHATEVER they have to wear no matter what. It is a trade off. I have worn steel low viz plates in 100 plus degrees all day and it does suck. But the alternative is much worse. If you are trying to stay low viz and are not wearing steel plates then you might as well go completely Overt.

It boils down to using the correct tool for the job. I would not sear steel in my overt carrier as it does not serve a purpose.
In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.

They're more like a small swimmer's cut. I think they designed them to store easily in a vehicle and then give some protection over your heart and spin.

I have a set of steel plates coming from TB. Hard to spend $300 and up on plates I will rarely, maybe never, use.

Really hard to buy Chinese plates to address a risk of civil disorder caused in part by a virus from a Chinese lab.

    Looks very modular.

    Recommended configuration(s)?

For this set up I want as low profile as possible. I can attach my Spiritus Systems Chest rig if I need to go that route.
