I’m pretty sure a properly equipped machine shop can turn a chunk of bare aluminum or steel into a firearm receiver in less than 8 hours no problem.

So we need to fill out 4473’s on steel or aluminum billets now?

FAB shops will be in alot of trouble.

Anyone remember maybe a couple years back the ATF got a bug up their ass about some .50 BMG upper? They were trying to claim the barreled upper on its own constituted a “firearm” and there was speculation it was going to be used to potentially reclassify AR uppers in general as “firearms”. I’m hoping that doesn’t find its way into the mix here as well.
