The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than the cowards they really are.
Yes, the ES on the BH 77 is exceptionally high for what I’d expect from BHs.
I had a couple cases of Magtech 77 gr that had an ES of 113. (20 rds chrono’d)
It shot pretty good to 400, much past that the vertical variance/stringing was really noticeable.
I’m convinced that I really need to handload if I’m pursuing extreme precision from a round.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
Was the black hills blue box or red box
What did you chrono that with?
If it was an optical type chrono, you can throw most of the results in the garbage.
If you all can't formulate conversations without bickering and instating I'm locking this thread and handing out time-outs.
Love you Pop. F*ck Cancer.
The pertinent results from the chrono tests aren't so much the maximum velocity as they are the extreme spread and standard deviation, as they relate to consistency in the ammo. @Armed Citizen talking about "Velocity is not king" betrays the fact that he doesn't know what the chrono results are for. @Straight Shooter might have overreacted a teensy bit though...
Good contribution. Thanks.
