Check me on something... dunno who makes AR-Stoner (Midway house-brand) mags, but Midway has the 20-rounders for $11 plus free shipping over $50. (Ten mags to outfit both our rifles for CMP = $110)
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2228111195

OTOH, Lanbo's has Magpul MAG560-BLK (20rd M3) for 10.26 each plus ten bucks shipping. (Ten mags = $112)
    https://lanbosarmory.com/index.php?m...ducts_id=15933

OTOH, Midway also has 20rd opaque-black Lancers for eleven bucks, which are something of a "known." (Again, ten mags = $110)
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2695117827?pid=612080

Since we only need five 20's each (typical CMP AR event is four mags used and one spare), I'm thinking a whopping two bucks more to get a regular price on a known quantity sounds better than penny-pinching a limited-time sale on an unknown variable. What's the Stickland Hive Mind's take here?

I love M3 mags, I'd go that route.

I've been trying to purge the M2's and some ill-advised early Hexmags myself to restandardize on 30, 40 and 60 M3's alongside GI/Okay/D&H. Pretty much the thinking is to keep two "fighting load-carrier" and one "training" set rifle-specific (GI for her C8, MAG556-MCT for my M4), then stick to stacked-deep basic-black for Home D and Stash. (Then again, once we get past mag rack# 3099 I'm gonna have to rethink my present numbering system... first two digits are either capacity or assigned rifle, last two ID mag in that group.)

Those mags make good trades in the future, or good sales if an AWB pops up again.

Side note, have you ever hit up eBay for the cheap piles of USMC coyote brown 2+2 carriers? For a long time they were super cheap, and a nice way to hold 1-4 mags.

If I needed that few mags, I would try to not save $2, and would go with the best I could. Surefeed 20 round mags have been a solid option since Vietnam, and you can get them in black, grey, or FDE to color code if needed.

I just picked up 12 of these, not that I really needed them. Just threw them in to a Mortar ammo can for storage. This is where I would spend my money. YMMV
