I use HS-6 for my 38's & 45 acp. Titegroup also works well in 38.

It's a very fast pistol powder and fine for cartridges like .38 SPL and .45 ACP as long as top velocities aren't desired.

I dropped 2.7 grains of Bullseye with a hollow base wadcutter for my 50 yard load.

When I started this thread I was seeking the closest approximation to unique for a 38 special 158gr application. What happens when conflicting information from different burn rate charts are examined? Who is correct?

The other charts reveal true blue as a faster powder with aa2 as the closest to unique. In addition to the advice offered here and "other sites" during various googlyweb searches, True-blue is the winner even though the burn chart data doesn't line up.

And yes, I might be Krazy but I sure ain't dumb! Or something like that...
I spent a summer working up loads for a 510 wells. No data on hand. Stripped the pant off the hood of my truck with repeated muzzle blasts. Had to set my older chronograph up further than desired downrange because of the muzzleblast and shadow effect seen in the data. My Krazy rugby days as a college kid...

The chart you posted shows relative burn rates for Accurate Arms powders. Ramshot True Blue is # 21 and AA#2 is # 27 on the Hodgdon Burn Rate Chart. It would appear True Blue has a considerably faster burn rate.
