This x100. I purchased the 80 degree locking piece for the AP5-P, as I plan to run suppressed, and 2-magpul safeties (one for the P and one for the full size).
I was amazed at how quick and easy installing both components were.
Some serious German engineering went into the original design, and great follow up engineering from Magpul to bring it closer to the 21st century.
Honestly, the original poly HK trigger group selectors on factory MP5s were atrocious. They almost required two thumbs to move them from safe to fire and from semi to full auto. They were so horrid people would grind down the ball on the lever. On most of my first MP5s I just ditched them for steel SEF lowers. When the picto lowers came out those were fine.

As an aside, MKE says the 80 degree lock shouldn't be necessary for the AP5P. I've only read of one person who has used a suppressor with the standard locking piece and he said it seemed fine.
I haven't heard any concrete evidence of what angle the factory locking piece is.
If I had a high volume can or something with reduced back pressure I probably wouldn't have worried about it. I will be using a Rugged Obsidian 9, and if the $40 RCM part can mitigate any potential pressure spikes, I figured it would be cheap insurance.
You folks are killing me, I need a second job for this and LLT HK pistol announcement.
I Put 250 rounds down range on my ranges plate racks, not pleasant as a heavy pistol, but wanted to verify function. I shot 124 gr and I think 158gr Flocci subs both unsuppressed and suppressed (Sig SRD45) to issues but stiff safety and AP5 mag loading.
I Efiled my form 1 and started planning and/or ordering 922 parts (essentially SBR or Magpul parts). I separated the trigger group, lubed the safety and rocked back and forth for an hour to wear it in, although was a waste with Magpul replacement coming.
My AP5K came in last week. I took it to the range and ran 200rds through it with no problems. I also ran a couple mags through it suppressed with no issues as well. I'm very happy with my purchase so far so I'll be sending off a Form 1 on this pistol soon.

I keep putting this off in the hope that they will sell out.....
EDIT
Well that didn't work, I got the K with a brace.
