    Thanks for Going Above & Beyond, amigo. If H&R is anything like NDS was, he might just drag PSA-JJE kicking and screaming up into respectability... LOL

    Thanks, I know many people probably feel I bash on PSA much of the time, but it is simply a matter of being spitting out the facts as I know them. If Mike wants to stop by the board, I think that would be fantastic as he could give direct info into how his components are being made. If he has concern he will get bashed over here, he is more than welcome to start a thread here in my section where I can moderate and make sure ignorant comments are unwelcome.

    I would be happy to give their weapon a review when it comes out, and write an article about it for a print magazine. I'll let him make that call, but the offer is there.

    Regarding the https://gundigest.com/rifles/ar-15/r...-parts-go-live article, this is what I can't do. That article has no actual info which I find useful (just my take on it). Most of us already knew they were making the gun, so there isn't anything new there. I'm interested in knowing more along the lines of what they are making, how they are making it, and what their plans are.

    If someone wants to start a thread about this to give it its own topic, and get this thread back on track, that would be wonderful.
    Stick

    Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

    I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

    Fair 'nuff, Stick. Guess I got a little overexcited after all the radio silence about finally seeing an update and thought it was an "interesting news find."

    @Stickman
    At some point on this thread (I think), you may have mentioned being acquainted/familiar with UnbrandedAR.

    UAR are cool for small components, which I’ve purchased, but do you have any insight on the complete rifles or even receivers?

    Since we don't have a Shout-Outs thread, I'd like to drop one for Marjie H. at Eagle Industries for her help rounding up documentation and taking me to school on the CIRAS system. I'm definitely not a traditional market, but she seemed to give this Absent Minded Perfesser academic equal footing in response effort to the warfighters.

    That is great to hear, thanks for posting. Might be worth updating the other thread as well. I think most people feel large companies won't be of much help.

    You mean the training gear thread, or Where Gan I Get It? Generally, large institutions may or may not be "meh" toward a little guy, but all it takes is one employee inside sympathetic to your situation who knows somebody that can help to make all the difference--I've seen similar things with my mother's career, where the biggest thing she has going for her at four decades when the company wants to purge you at 30 years or less is a lifetime of banked "owed favors," a similar span of all-but-extinct tribal knowledge and knowing where to reach out to when someone calls her with a problem. And guaranteed if you never reach out and ask the question the answer is ALWAYS gonna be "No."

    Now if I could just get a response from Ibiley or whatever their tactical-gear business unit calls itself now about repair kits for TAP's since The Absent Minded Perfesser mislaid mine...

    If anybody here's into DIY M14/M1A, Brownells has a one-time-only batch of factory-blem Springfield bare receivers for $500.

    https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...85-294073.aspx
    "These are 2nds (blems) due to a bad thumb screw hole which makes you unable to mount a factory scope mount. Stripper clip guide not included."
