One option might be a slick slide model with just dovetail cuts at a cheaper price point so people who like specific sights can add their own.
I have a beater G19 gen3 I got probably 2009, I just left the stock sights on. I've carried and shot it a ton, and have never had a problem with them, FWIW. Also, I'm a freak I guess, I like the finger grooves, they fit my hand perfectly. I miss them on my Gen5. They help when I shoot weak hand, as I have nerve damage on that appendage.

    2. Make the G47 the new G17…in other words, G19/17 should be mix and match frames and slides. No need for both 17 & 47.

    3. Dump new 45 GAP guns

    4. Make a factory G29 magazine with the same base plate as the G30

    5. Figure out the optic system to eliminate plates. Maybe go to 3 compatible footprints (RMR, DPP, Aimpoint) vrs every maker.

    6. Replace plastic sights with the basic metal sights (minimal cost).

    7. Reduce grip circumference on 10MM/.45 ACP to closer to 9MM size but retain magazine acceptability from previous generations.

    8. Offer 17L, G40, and G41 slides for sale separately.

    9. Make an optics ready G44 and a 43X size pistol in .22LR

G25 and G28 aren't new, just(for all practical purposes) are le only in the us due to the import point thing mentioned in the finger groove/thumb rest dimples posts.

I didn't do the math, but assume Glocks have to have sights to meet the import point thing.

I haven't heard of most Glock plastic sights breaking(with exception of the early drift windage/screw adjust elevation rear that overhanging the slide), but have heard actual use by drawing abd reholstering will wear off the front sight edges.

Thanks! I missed that. I will be looking into one. It would be an excellent transition gun between a G44 and the G19!

Lengthen barrel throat on gen 5 9mm pistols.

Do the same for 10mm. They should run with Buffalo Bore, Double Tap without replacing barrels

Copy the interchangeable grip system found on the Shadow Systems guns

Improve optics mounting system. Get rid of plates

Or just encourage Shadow Systems to make a 10mm and stop buying Glocks

That is neat and fix the pointing for those who don't like it now.

I think I would like a beavertail on the no backstrap frame so if they could figure out a way to split the back straps in to upper and lower halves and blend in to the middle I really think the pointability could be super fine tuned.

Absolutely. They need to absolutely rip off everything they legally can from all the best designs and focus on how to make is as simple as practically possible with the lowest cost manufacturing methods that can produce a quality product. That would be a true Glock Carbine.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.
