So I have a sionics 11.5” pistol. I mainly shoot 62gr hpbt or 77s out of it. My brass is landing at 2oclock with an h2 buffer. I was shooting with a couple guys yesterday and they kept bringing up how it’s way over gassed. It runs good, doesn’t jam always feeds and ejects. So I never thought about it to much. Should I put a heavier buffer on it?
If it's anywhere between 2 and 4 ejection and you don't see any other issues I wouldn't worry about it. A shorter barrel is inherently more unpleasant to shoot due to the weight the fact that their is more gas at the muzzle that doesn't dissipate as it does in longer barrels. I'm not sure what the other guys are running, but I remember the first time I shot the DD Mark18 and I hated it, I was only used to 20' and 16" guns and it was definitely something I wasn't used to
