Need Insight Tech Light mount Options

Plan on a Colt 6920. Would like to mount my insight tac-light on to forend/handguard BUT do not want a rail.

I happen to like the regular handguards it comes with. (Rails/panels/ vertical grips/ etc. add too much weight and "junk" on the simplicity of the rifle.

I don't like the looks of rails on a rifle anyhow. But I digress...what mount is avail to mount my light without needing a rail?

    Ideas? Websites>

    Which light do you have?

The snap-on rail mount from Holsters Plus will work.

Otherwise, install a piece of bolt on rail and mount it there.

Midwest Industries Tactial Light Mount for the Front Sight Base.

Attach a light to your front sight base leaving your handguards clear of rails and other attachments. Cost is about $30. Takes less than 5 minutes to install, and comes with hardware and allen wrench.

The GG&G mount works quite well with the standard handguards.

    Hey Molon...

Holes had to be drilled thru the handguard?

If so, I really don't want to start putting holes into the handguard.

    Molon, let me know.

Your light needs a rail of some sort. How that rail attaches will be question.

If your gun is going to be used for important things, find a way to overcome matters of cosmetics and aversion to drilling holes.

There are several bolt-on rail options that will mount at 6:00 and use the existing vent holes.

The X200 is a quality unit. It deserves to be mounted properly.
