Thanks N2CH.
I had a buddy of mine at Tactical Coordination do the paint job. Next time I see him I will ask him your question.

.....but what do I know, I'm just a FK'N Armorer!
Any suggestions for prepping a scope for krylon? It has glossy anodizing on it now, so it definitely needs something.
Should I just hit it with some wet/dry and shoot it?

Just wanted to post a quick tip for those who have had paint chipping problems in wear areas like around the mag well.
A solution used by the auto industry could help here.
3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film
It's used by many for preventing rock chips in susceptible areas of cars such as the airdams or rear fenders of vehicles like Porsche's.
If anyone is using automotive paint or other paint out of a spray gun / airbrush (vs a spray can), another thing you can do is add a plasticizer to the paint. A lot of RC Glider people I used to hang with would use automotive paint on the gliders, but to prevent chipping etc they would add a plasticizer to the paint to make it more "bendable".
