On a CavArms lower, you can probably dremel an OTIS 8 sided rail system to fit.
Stick with carbine length, it weighs less and the military uses it so it's proven.
BTW: Spikes buffer in CavArms lower will fit, I dremeled mind in place last night.
If weight keeps bothering you, just flute the barrel yourself with a dremel, or coat the piston and stripped upper in rubber to match the lower, and spray can it FDE so you can take it to work.
Oly Arms is low quality, stick with Centerfire Systems. Oly doesn't even make a piston, and SEAL units use Centerfire all the time to do caliber changes to .243 Winchester so they don't have to carry sniper rifles.
We miss you, AC.

If weight is a bother, you can lighten your carbine with helium inserts in the grip well. There are plans to make plastic rail covers with helium filled cells to lighten it even further

I was hoping I could get you to spill the beans via PM so that I could post every detail on 10 different internet forums and cite a super secret "source", because that would give street creds. If I'm lucky, I might be able to get a Chinese airsoft copy before IG actually goes public with his revolutionary new product.
IG will be the new Costa.
And Markm will have the first of the goatee trimmings.....
