Are Magpul GL9 mags GTG for serious use?

I'm looking to bulk-up my stock of G19 mags in the very near future....I'd like to get on the order of 10 more.

Are the Magpul GL9 mags good to go for carry/defensive use?

The $10+ savings each over factory Glock mags makes them attractive, but I know they had some issues early on and I still read a lot of negative stuff about them on the web...Followers binding with non-brass cases, sand fouling, feed issues, etc. Some comments have gone so far as to say that if they were made by anyone other than Magpul it would be in the "junk mag" category.

As full disclosure, I do have one 15rd GL9, but it's only ever been a range mag. I haven't had any issues with it, but it has not been left loaded or cycled that much, nor has it been dropped or otherwise mistreated.

So, what says M4C? Would you trust your life to a Magpul GL9, or would you eat the cost difference and run factory Glock?

I use two as carry mags as the base plates at longer and work with my mag well. But I have no issues with them, I use them at the range constantly the stay loaded more often than not. Also they are easier to load than factory mags.

Mine will reliably choke on cheap steel case, but have been flawless with brass case.

I have been using them in my G19 since they came out. No issues. I prefer them over the factory mags. The Magpuls are easier to disassemble and clean

Some of mine have issues with Winchester Forged as do ETS magazines and I have saw mentions it is due to the OAL of the forged having issues with most polymer magazines. Haven't broke out the dial calipers and honestly not sure if I have tried the Forged in a factory Glock magazine or not.

Have had zero issues with brass or aluminum case 9mm from the 15 and 17 Pmags from a G19.

Have had feed failures with the 21rds model occasionally in a 19 during matches, but have never had an issue practicing with the 21rds magazine so I am really thinking I am somehow occasionally getting on the extra tube sticking out when I'm a hurry and affecting the feed angle.

I don't remember what brand steel it was. They would feed for 2-3 rounds but then the stack would bind up causing a stoppage requiring the rounds to be punched down and poured out.
