Those damn 69's just keep trucking on. We load em up and go long range then turn around and slap steal CQB style, without hyperventilating for shooting your SMK's at 25-50 yards. Just great value bullets.

I’m sold on it, some are in my future.

Have you guys done any expansion tests?

RMR did their own, and they frag. We've only vaporized some grape fruits.

I have a grapefruit tree and Ill pick 20 or so and toss them out on the range and blow them up. They explode very nicely with varmint bullets. SMK's just shoot straight threw them. These 69's kerplodes them nicely. Maybe we make a video, its big fun. Not a perfect test but is a data point.

Here's the back end of a 5" wide jug filled with that freezer gel stuff. The paper was behind the jug about 1 foot. The live round it pointing to the main bullet hole with some other fragment penetration near the shoulder of the live round.

    (completely unscientific test)

I can't imagine any sort of disappointment. I had to switch back to 77s this week because we were burning through these 69s like there was no tomorrow.

I might double up on the jugs and shoot a 69gr out of a 10.5 to see if frag can be achieved.

Let us know. My go too for a while was my home made 55 gr tap recipe of 24.7 gr benchmark under a vmax bullet, and looking to get some heavier bullet loads going. 24 grs of varget under a 75 gr hpbt is pretty standard but varget is getting hard to find.

Freezer gel test out of 11.5" barrel at 5 yards.

No frag. Maybe some yaw, but probably not your optimal SBR defense bullet.
