    Hey folks,

    looking into possibly buying one.

    Thanks!

My 100th anniversary CRG has about 4,500 rounds through it, mostly JHP's. Zero malfunctions.

There was a recall at one point on these for a soft firing pin if i recall. They would deform and not allow the hammer to fully strike it resulting in a failure to fire.

They run very well as Mark said. It is built like a Colt, not super tight like a Springer. Built kinda loose if you will. So if you handle it and that doesn't bother you, its GTG. I think they are a fair value as well.

Had an issue with timing on mine. Was chewing up the firing pin plunger pretty bad and retarding the slide affecting cycling. Wound up converting/deleting series 80 parts and for the headache won’t try series 80 again. No benefit, more cons then pros. Also, gun sounded like a damn baby rattle, was disappointed with how loose all the components fit. For the price I would be far more inclined to go with Springfield Operator (not TRP).

I've only had mine for about 6 months. So far it has been completely reliable and solid. First time I shot it, I ran through a Dept qualification course after running some drills. Gun was as accurate as I was, shooting 100%! I've not seen any unusual signs of wear to this point.

I don't carry it as a duty weapon, but I have seriously thought about it. Most of my carry guns now have optics...I just don't have the nerve to mill this one for a red dot.

I carried my Colt Rail Gun as a service pistol. It was reliable and accurate. Only downside was the weight.

Have had one. 100% out of the box which is somewhat exceptional amongst my 1911s. Scary accurate. Gave it to my daughter.

It looks like the base model has been discontinued, all I see is the custom shop version and CCU version.
