    Which optic for beretta 1301???

Just acquired a Beretta 1301 Tactical and want to put a red dot on it. I want an Aimpoit H2/T2 or RMR with Aridus CROM. I actually own both. RMR on my M&P CORE and T2 on my SBR. I have not used a red dot on a shotgun before so I'm looking for advice on which one to get...

I prefer the RMR on my 1301.

Any specific reason you prefer it over the aimpoint?

A consideration is whether you plan to shoot the 1301 outdoors. Unlike a pistol that you can more easily protect from weather, a shotgun and its optic will be exposed outside. One drop of moisture on the RMR emitter and you will have multiple red dots that obscure your BUIS.

I was thinking 509T (sealed) when I can find a 1301 Tactical, but haven't figured out if the Aridus CROM works with an adapter plate or not.

The RMR takes up less peripheral in my mind.
The optic is situated fairly close to your eye with the rail location.
    YMMV- this is purely subjective.

I am running a Primary Arms SLX red dot. It has handled the recoil nicely mounted on the factory top rail. I just ordered a Crom Mount so it might be time to move on.
