If they are affordable, then I'de see the merit in reviving the design, but if I could get the new Coonan .357Mag. for the same or less, that would be my choice.

All of our 7.62mm guns that have thread barrels are now threaded 3/4 - 24 UNS 2A
The reason for that is 5/8 was just a little to thin and we saw an accuracy loss.

Do you think KAC will produce some of these STTs with a 5/8x24 pitch? From my quick research I found that many AR pattern in .308 use 5/8x24 TPI.

Sweet, although I was hoping for some real texturing on the front and backstraps

I'm more concerned about the lack of gripping surface on the slide. Sweaty hands and the thin CZ/Sig210 style slide makes for some fumbling under stress.

it uses t he existing base so in reality it can be retrofitted, but most like lt ARMs would want you to buy a new mount...
