MSRP is always higher than street price. I think you will see them selling around $500.

It's not even out in the wild yet, things rare to never sell AT MSRP anyway. I am interested to see it put through it's paces for sure.

Relax. MSRP is just that "Suggested". For context the Razor HD 1-6x has an MSRP of $1899 and can be found regularly for around $1350 street price.

That same 30% translates to around $490 street price on the "Huey" red dot.

Disappointing. I don' think I'll be picking one of these up for the following (in order of importance):
    1. Weight is 11.8oz. Thats 3/4lb, or for perspective...It weighs MORE than an Aimpoint Pro and as much as 3 MRO's.
    2. Only available in lower 1/3rd cowitness. I prefer absolute, but regardless its so tall an absolute would be nice.
    3. Size, its the longest and bulkiest of all red dots (excluding those with 30mm tubes).
    4. Still no update on battery life

Does it have sleep mode and motion censor reactivation?

    2. Only available in lower 1/3rd cowitness. I prefer absolute, but regardless its so tall an absolute would be nice. I'm sure they will offer more mounts in the future, as well as aftermarket support. 1/3 seems to be the most popular co-witness on the market right now, and you can't please everyone all the time.
    3. Size, its the longest and bulkiest of all red dots (excluding those with 30mm tubes). It's definitely not small, but it's also their first foray into a HWS. Without stepping on any existing patents, they are probably forced to build it from the ground up.
    4. Still no update on battery life I am hoping this gets addressed at SHOT because it seems to be what is at the forefront of everyone's mind.
I'm still optimistic and going to give Vortex a chance here to prove mine and everyone else's doubts wrong. No one has hands on experience with this yet, it's still a brand new sight.

I'm really excited to see one of these in person. I love the Eotech reticle and it's much easier on my eyes than an Aimpoint. I'm hopeful the same will be true of this optic.

I agree, I really like the reticle a lot and like the fact the chevron can be used for close quarters shooting. IF battery life is equal or better than an Exps3 I am down to give one a shot.
I would like the capability of swapping out my mount as well.

I am still curious about this question. MC and I both asked it.

No, it doesn't have sleep mode or motion activation.
