Hasn't hurt me at all. In fact, such policies have certainly benefitted me and I won't apologize for them. I'm just intellectually honest about the arrangement and can see through the Red, White and Blue haze that clearly clouds your thinking.

Clearly, you’ve subscribed to those academics attempt to influence policy. There are dozens and dozens of books and papers published on the topic. But one thing is clear, to the layman empire=bad and imperialism=bad. Those trying to bend reality to fit the US into such a box are not doing so for altruistic reasons.
