I got what I think is the same camera from another vendor just because it was in stock.

    Anykit Rifle Borescope: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y1YKHJ4..._VzR.DbC7TN3TD

Pics from my old Noveske 16" CL barrel with ~7K rounds thru it.

    90 degree mirror view

    From chamber end

    From barrel end

From a BA Optimum barrel with only a couple hundred rounds.

Both barrels were left dirty so the surface appearance doesn't indicate anything, I think.

Hope it's as interesting to you as it is to me!

Nice! Can you snag some of the throat/leade of the noveske, 90*? Also, unscrew it a bit. It should crisp up the image a lot. You focus it like so.

Here you go... Not pretty but I don't know exactly what I'm looking at either. I just got a 4-16x to test group sizes on my RDS rifles and am interested to see how this barrel still groups.

    Thanks for the focus tip!

Why is there so much wear on the lands just past the gas port vs just before? Is it because of gas blow-by?

I would guess it's the gas hitting the edge of the port as it travels past it. Just a guess.

Not gas. Its fire. Just like the flame from a torch. If it was gas we wouldn't have muzzle flash to worry about.

Makes LMT look like geniuses in regards to the MRP barrel gas port design. Thanks for the link, and that's really neat to see how the gas has eroded the barrel like that.
